Whether soft tissue pathologies, brain diagnostics or abdominal imaging – MRI is one of the most powerful healthcare modalities in many medical fields. And it is about to conquer even more niche application fields such as dental or interventional imaging.

At the same time, the density of MRI devices can be a measurement of the quality of a country’s health care infrastructure.

This year's World Health Day is a good opportunity to reflect on the fact that there are still many people living without the benefits of an MRI scan.

All of us who work in medical imaging are called to change that with our daily work.
